Glassio ("we," "our," or "the app") is a Mac desktop application designed for inventory management, CSV workflows, and operational clarity. We are committed to being transparent about how the application handles your information.

This Privacy Policy explains what data Glassio collects, how it is used, and how you remain in control. Please read it carefully. By using Glassio, you agree to the practices described here.

What Glassio Collects (and Doesn't)

Glassio is designed with a minimal data footprint. Here is a clear breakdown:

• Inventory & business data — All records, CSV imports, stock entries, and operational data you create are stored exclusively on your local device. This data never leaves your Mac.
• App preferences & settings — Layout preferences, theme settings, and configuration options are saved locally using macOS storage mechanisms.
• Website interactions — If you visit our website (glassioapp.com), basic analytics such as page visits and button clicks may be collected anonymously to help us improve the site. No personally identifiable information is collected.
• Contact form submissions — If you submit a message through our contact form, we collect only the information you provide (name, email, message) solely to respond to your inquiry.

We do not collect:

• Personal identifiable information through the app itself
• Financial or payment data
• Location or device tracking data
• Behavioral analytics from within the desktop app

Purpose of Data

Any information collected through our website is used solely to:

• Improve the website experience and understand how users navigate it
• Respond to contact or support inquiries you initiate
• Monitor and maintain the performance and reliability of the website

Your in-app data — including all inventory records, CSV files, and operational entries — is used only by you, on your own device, for the purpose of running your business operations. We have no access to it.

Browser & Local Storage Usage

The Glassio website uses browser localStorage to save your preferences and settings between visits. This includes:

• Admin panel settings and content configurations
• UI preferences and display options
• Draft content saved between sessions

The desktop application uses macOS-native local storage mechanisms to persist your inventory data, settings, and preferences. This data is stored in your user directory on your Mac and is fully under your control.

Local-First by Design

Glassio is built as a local-first Mac desktop application. This is a deliberate architectural choice:

• All your inventory, product, and operational data is stored on your Mac — not on remote servers
• The application works fully offline — no internet connection is required to use core features
• No account registration or sign-in is required to use the app
• No data is automatically synced or backed up to cloud services by Glassio

You are responsible for backing up your own data using macOS Time Machine or your preferred backup solution. Glassio does not provide cloud backup services.

You Are in Control

Because Glassio stores all data locally, you have complete control:

• Delete app data — Uninstalling Glassio removes all associated app data from your device
• Clear website preferences — Clear browser localStorage via your browser's developer tools or settings at any time
• Export your data — Glassio supports CSV export so you can take your data anywhere
• No account to delete — There is no Glassio account to close, because no account is created

If you submitted a contact form message and want it removed from our records, contact us at the address below and we will delete it promptly.

Security Considerations

We take reasonable measures to protect any information handled through our website:

• The Glassio website is served over HTTPS with encrypted connections
• Contact form submissions are transmitted securely
• No sensitive financial or personal data is stored on our servers

For data stored within the desktop application, security is managed at the macOS operating system level. We recommend keeping your macOS updated and using standard Mac security practices such as FileVault disk encryption to protect your local data.

No method of data storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-Party Services

The Glassio website may use the following third-party services:

• Google Fonts — Used to load typography. Google may log basic request data per their own privacy policy.
• Apple App Store — Glassio is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple's privacy practices apply to the download and purchase process. Refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels on the Glassio website.

Any third-party links on our site (e.g., App Store links) are subject to those parties' own privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Glassio is a professional business tool not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of Glassio after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
